Looking Forward

The sun has returned to London and the light has lifted my spirits.  I am really looking forward to life after my surgery and it is time that I start making some positive goals.  So here goes:

Weight Related Goals

  • Lose 10% total weight
  • Drop down to the 100s
  • Lose 50% of extra weight
  • Lose enough weight to no longer be considered “obese”
  • Achieve a BMI of 20 – 25

Other Goals

  • Successfully complete pre-surgery diet
  • Survive surgery
  • Graduate from liquids to mushies to normal food again
  • Make peace with feelings about surgery
  • Shop in normal stores again
  • Increase fitness level
  • Return to feeling “normal”

Wow!  That is a lot to look forward to!  Even better, I know that my list will grow over time and, eventually, it will include achievements alongside the goals.  It is such a great feeling to know that I am about to turn a corner and face weight loss success for the first time in years.  God willing, everything will go as expected and I will finally be able to shed my fat suit!  Now I have to compose a list of non-food rewards for my achievements!
